They can also manage in most situations they encounter on a trip to the region in which the language is spoken. Furthermore, learners can tell about an event, an experience or a dream, describe a hope or a goal and briefly present reasons or explanations for a project or an idea.
B1.2 Independent 02 (i At the end of level B1.2, learners can :
- Understand the main points when clear, standard language is used and the topics are familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
- Cope with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
- Produce simple, coherent speech on familiar topics and areas of interest.
- Describe an event, experience or dream, describe a hope or goal, and briefly give reasons or explanations for a plan or idea.
At the end of level B2.1, the learner can :
- Understand the main points of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.
- Communicate with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
- Express themselves clearly and in detail on a wide range of subjects, give an opinion on a topical issue and explain the advantages and disadvantages of different options.
At the end of level B2.2, learners can understand the main points of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialisation.
